On many doorway bars, the handle-mounted lock limits where you can put your hands.
With your hands that close together, more of the pull can come from your arms.

A standard clamp bar holds with whatever pressure you gave it when you put it up.

AUTOLOCK™ works the other way around.
When you hang from the bar, the clamp face presses farther into the door frame — the more load it carries, the harder it holds.

Common questions

Q. Do I need to drill into the wall to install this?
A. No. It installs with a no-drill clamp. Turn the center dial to extend both sides. Installation takes about 30 seconds and requires no drilled holes.
Q. Will it fit my door frame? How do I measure?
A. Measure the inner width of your door frame from side to side, excluding the trim. It fits openings 28–38 in (72–96 cm) wide. Also check that the flat mounting surface is at least 2.5 in (6.2 cm) deep; a shallower surface may not hold securely.
Q. What’s the maximum load, really?
A. The recommended user weight is up to 220 lb. The rated static load is 660 lb, and the bar held 1,500 lb in destructive static testing. The 1,500 lb figure is a structural test result, not a safe user weight. Do not swing, jump, or drop onto the bar; dynamic movement increases the load. AUTOLOCK™ increases pressure against the frame as load increases.
Q. How is this different from a standard pull-up bar?
A. The grip extends up to 33 in. The comparison bar shown on this page has a roughly 23.5 in grip. Both sides expand together, so it’s easier to get level. In destructive static testing it held 1,500 lb. Recommended user weight is up to 220 lb.
Q. Can I do more than pull-ups on it?
A. Yes — hanging leg raises, inverted rows, and dead-hang stretches all work well. Dips (pressing up on top of the bar) aren’t something this bar is built for.
Q. Will it work on any door frame material?
A. It installs on wood, metal, and PVC/plastic frames. It’s not recommended for film-laminated (vinyl-wrapped) frames — the surface is too slick for a secure clamp — or for walls with no real frame, like bare concrete or drywall.
Q. Is there a warranty?
A. Yes — 1 year from purchase, covering manufacturing defects in the structure, lock, or level. It doesn’t cover wear items (grip coating, resistance bands) or damage from misuse, disassembly, or drops.
